Offered for sale is a 2 handled handmade, wood kiln fired bowl bought originally in Vallauris, France (Provence). The bowl is beautifully glazed with red/brown and cream. It measures 12 " from Handle to handle with the bowl being 9 inches in diameter and 4 " tall. It is in perfect condition with kiln marks on the bottom. Check out my 3 other listings for Vallauris pottery: casserole w lid, 9 " and 11" ruffled pie plates. All these items were purchased at one time by a wealthy woman about 30 years ago on one of her tours through Provence. The bowl has no marks, however, needs none since this pottery is distinctive to this part of France. The large casserole is the only marked piece of the 4 and it is stamped Bazar Francois, Vallauris, France.
