Offered for sale is an incredibly beautiful 9.5" serving bowl and matching 11.5" round platter made in Limoges, France, decorated by Elite Works and imported to the USA by Bawo & Dotter from 1896-1900. This set is listed as a pudding bowl & underplate in all the old Haviland-Limoges books. A more current use is salad and using the underplate as a round serving platter. The bowl and plate have scalloped edges with gold trim and beautiful pink roses. It is amazing that this 117 year old set looks brand new!
