Offered for sale is a hand tied tapestry, 100% wool, measuring 9 ft x 6 ft. It depicts a large vase of flowers flanked by neoclassical columns holding up an arch with 2 cupids holding a swag of flowers from the arch. 2 Solomonic twisted columns frame the whole scene. The colors of the work of art are beautiful- dark blue accentuating the columns, light blue and green in the floral scene. We have sold lots of Aubusson hand tied rugs like this for the floor so, in the right setting could be walked on! It was always hanging on the wall in a mansion, so immaculate condition. A rod pocket runs the width of the backside top. The last photos depicted show the artistry in the Hand Tied workmanship. The tapestry weighs 14 lbs and we will ship carefully.
