Offered for sale is a rare large jug or pitcher by Royal Doulton in the seriesware "Monks in the Cellar". The jug is an unusual triangular shape called Beckett shape and measures H 8 1/2". The jug is signed by Royal Doulton's premier designer and modeller, Charles Noke (1858-1941). Royal Doulton collectors are always on the hunt for Noke signed pieces. The jug is in excellent shape-no chips, cracks, etc . The pictures show crazing that is to be expected with a 100 year old piece.
